The dial marked 'E. Schmoll - Rue Turenne - Paris'. Schmoll (°1849, Chantilly, Oise, France) was a famous bronze maker active in Paris in the last quarter of the 19th C. As the name suggests, he was of Jewish origin. He married Blanche Bloch on July 6, 1881.

The work inscribed with the number '134750',  with the 'Japy Frères & Cie - Med. d'Honneur' mark and further marked 'C. Ch.'.

 

Condition: (UV-checked)

- The clock in very good condition with the usual minor superficial wear (e.g. the dragon's snout, right side of the bronze frame of the dial).

-  The springs tested with the key and tension is present.

- Negligible wear to the signature on the dial.
