- The painting in good and hangable condition.

- Relined, most probably because of a hole in the original canvas at the height of the forehead of the left figure. 

- UV-light shows foremost the typical colour of the varnish, with retouches to the borders. Retouches around the eyes and in the beard of the left figure.

- With overpaint.
