Une table de style L. XVI en bois de violette, bois satiné et marqueterie aux montures en bronze doré d'après un modèle de Riesener, France, vers 1890

This centre table is a replica of the celebrated model delivered by Jean-Henri Riesener to the Garde Meuble for Queen Marie-Antoinette, later placed in the Grand Drawing-Room in the Petit Trianon by Empress Eugénie, now still in-situ.

The rectangular brèche violette marble top with rounded corners, with an ormolu border, above a frieze drawer, the reverse with an apparent drawer, the sides each with marquetry panels, on tapering octagonal legs with foliate sabots.
