Thepphanom or thephanom (Thai: เทพนม) refers to the depiction of a devata (a more focused deva or Hindu deity) performing the Añjali Mudrā hand gesture. The term also refers to a deity who is a temple protector or guardian. The Thepanom first came to earth when Buddha reached enlightenment.
