The bottom of the work with a difficult to read text: 'Ian ab Ach inventor et propria ... delinant pro August Caesar Rhodolphus II anno 1594' (?): Sketch by Jan van Achen, for the emperor Rudolph II in 1594. 

The reverse of the frame with an attribution to Joos van Winghe (1542/44-1603).
