Wearing uniform and medals, his saddlebag and pouches cast with the Spanish Royal crest, set on a naturalistic rectangular base, inscribed 'Cia Mca de S. Juan de Alcaraz, 1886', on a moulded bronze plinth inscribed 'A XII/ RESTAURADOR Y PACIFICADOR/ DE LA/ MONARQUIA ESPANOLA'. Marked with the number 28.

The sculpture on a gilt mounted tortoiseshell and brass marquetry Boulle base.
