The First Soshin (Chotaro) began a metal working studio in 1876. The second generation (Souemon, Soshin) trained with Kibundo artist Hatano Shohei from 1890 and they were well known for tea sets, vases and koro. At this moment, the workshop is in hands of the fourth generation.

Sahari bronze is an alloy of copper, tin and lead, occasionally also including silver.
