The Language-loving Student Society ''T zal wel gaan' (abbreviated: 't Zal) is a liberal student association in Ghent, and the oldest existing student association in Flanders. The society was founded on February 21, 1852 by three students from the Ghent atheneum, including Julius Vuylsteke. In 1854 the first Almanac was published. Under the slogan 'Klauwaard en Geus', it was a progressive, strongly Flemish-feeling and eminently liberal association that played a leading role in the Dutchization of education.
