Pierre Flechy (1715-1769): A bombé French Louis XV gilt bronze mounted marquetry chest of drawers with brèche d'Alep marble top, 18th C.

The chest of drawers is beautifully signed 'P. Flechy' and marked with the 'poinçon de jurande'. Pierre Flechy became master in 1756.

Condition: (UV-checked)

- The chest of drawers in good to very good condition, with the usual superficial wear and minor traces of use.

- The left top corner of the marble top with glued breaks and related retouching. The marble top not original.

- The bronze mounts 18th and 19th C. (e.g. the small connections on both legs).

- Left top drawer with a missing piece of veneer (not visible when the drawer is closed).

- Between the two top drawers a 'secreet' (secret drawer).
