Joël De Rore (°1951, Mouscron) grew up in Rollegem. He studied in Kortrijk (Royal Academy), Lille (Ecole des Beaux-Arts) and Anderlecht (National Instutute for Visual Arts). In 1988, he finished second in the Europe Prize for Painting in Ostend. He gets his inspiration from everyday reality (link).
