On top of the initials of the Belgian King Leopold II, we see a ducal crown.

This item may be a gift from King Leopold II to his daughter Princess Louise Marie. Leopold II held the titles Prince of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and Duke of Saxony. In 1875, the barely grown-up Louise was married off to her second cousin Prince Philip of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, who belonged to the Hungarian branch of the Coburg family.
