- The reverse with some old auction information. The painting sold in 1943 in Denmark (Winkel & Magnussen, Copenhagen, 1943, lot. 60) as Allart van Everdingen (1621-1675) for 2720 kr ('Traebevokset Bjerglandskab med en Borg'). Thematically and stylistically the work can be linked with the oeuvre of Van Everdingen.

- The reverse with a wax seal. The painting part of the noble collection of Count Frederik Christian Moltke, Copenhagen.
